SPARC Consulting is an independent Contract Research Organization (CRO) founded in 2010 by Claudio Iannacone. Its headquarter is in Milan, Italy.
SPARC Consulting provides comprehensive biostatistics, clinical data management and medical writing services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and research industries, academic and clinical institutions, as well as individual researchers.

Since 2010 SPARC Consulting has been supporting Sponsors in regulatory and not-regulatory clinical studies in many therapeutic areas.

General Manager

Claudio Iannacone is the General Manager and the principal biostatistician consultant. In the 1987 he received his degree in statistics from the Catholic University of Milan.For twelve years he worked as a biostatistician and data manager in the pharmaceutical industry and then he served as manager of Biostatistics & Data Management Unit of the Italian branch of Quintiles Transnational (now IQVIA) for more ten years. He founded SPARC Consulting in May 2010.  He has been involved in more than two hundred regulatory and non-regulatory Phase I-IV trials, observational and registry studies on behalf of the largest pharmaceutical industries worldwide. He has a deep experience in different therapeutic areas such as oncology, central nervous system, virology, internal medicine, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, contrast media, and respiratory system. He served as lead biostatistician for several studies for FDA and EMA. He is a member of the BIAS (Italian statisticians in the pharmaceutical industry) and of the SSFA (Society for applied pharmacological sciences).
